스티브잡스가 죽기전 남긴 말

나는 세계적으로 성공했고 정점에 올랐다.
다른 사람의 눈에 내 인생은 성공의 전형이다.
하지만, 일 빼놓고는 즐거움이 별로 없었다.
결국 부는 내게 익숙한 삶의 단편이었을 뿐이다.

지금 이 순간, 병상에 누워 삶을 회고해보면
자부했던 명성과 재산은 곧 닥쳐올 죽음 앞에 빛을 바라고, 무의미해짐을 실감한다.
어둠 속에서 생명 연장 장치의 초록 빛을 바라보며,
윙윙 거리는 기계음을 들을 때 죽음의 신의 숨결이다가오는 것을 느낄 수 있다.

이제야 나는 깨달았다.
삶을 유지할 만큼 적당한 재물을 쌓은 후에는
부와 무관한 것을 추구해야 한다는 것을.

더 중요한 그 무엇이어야 한다:
그것은 인간관계일수도,
예술일수도,
젊었던 시절에 가졌던 꿈일수도 있다.

쉬지 않고 재물만 추구하는 것은 결국 나 같이 뒤틀린 인간으로 변하게 만들 뿐이다.

신은 우리에게 재물이 가져다주는 그 환상이 아니라,
각자의 가슴 안에 있는 사랑을 느낄 수 있는 감각을 주셨다.

내 일생 동안 성취한 부를 나는 가져갈 수 없다.
내가 가져갈 수 있는 것은 사랑에 빠졌던 기억들뿐이다.
그 기억이야 말로 나와 함께해 준다. 살아갈 힘과 빛을 주는 진정한 부다.
사랑은 1000마일도 갈 수 있다.
삶에는 한계가 없다.
가고 싶은 곳을 가라.
오르고 싶은 곳을 올라가라.
모든 것은 마음과 손 안에 있다.

이 세상에서 가장 비싼 침대는 병상이다.
우리는 타인을 고용할 수 있지만, 대신 아파해줄 사람을 구할 수는 없다.
잃어버린 물건은 다시 찾을 수 있다. 그러나 삶은 잃어버린 후에 절대로 되찾을 수 없는 무엇이다.
수술실에 들어가면, 아직도 읽어내야 하는 유일한 책이 건강한 삶에 대한 책이란 것을 알게 된다.

지금 삶의 어느 순간에 있던 결국 우리는 죽는다.
가족에 대한 사랑, 
배우자에 대한 사랑 
친구들에 대한 사랑, 
이 모두를 귀하게 여겨라

너 자신에게 잘 대해줘라.
남을 소중히 여겨라.

I reached the pinnacle of success in the business world.
In others' eyes, my life is an epitome of success.
However, aside from work, I have little joy. In the end, wealth is only a fact of life that I am accustomed to.

At this moment, lying on the sick bed and recalling my whole life, I realize that all the recognition and wealth that I took so much pride in, have paled and become meaningless in the face of impending death.
In the darkness, I look at the green lights from the life supporting machines and hear the humming mechanical sounds, I can feel the breath of god of death drawing closer ...

Now I know, when we have accumulated sufficient wealth to last our lifetime, we should pursue other matters that are unrelated to wealth ... 

Should be something that is more important: Perhaps relationships, perhaps art, perhaps a dream from younger days. 
Non-stop pursuing of wealth will only turn a person into a twisted being, just like me. 

God gave us the senses to let us feel the love in everyone’s heart, not the illusions brought about by wealth. 
The wealth I have won in my life I cannot bring with me.
What I can bring is only the memories precipitated by love.
That's the true riches which will follow you, accompany you, giving you strength and light to go on. 
Love can travel a thousand miles. Life has no limit. Go where you want to go. Reach the height you want to reach. It is all in your heart and in your hands. 

What is the most expensive bed in the world? Sick bed ... 

You can employ someone to drive the car for you, make money for you but you cannot have someone to bear the sickness for you. 

Material things lost can be found. But there is one thing that can never be found when it is lost — Life. 

When a person goes into the operating room, he will realize that there is one book that he has yet to finish reading — Book of Healthy Life. 

Whichever stage in life we are at right now, with time, we will face the day when the curtain comes down. 

Treasure Love for your family, love for your spouse, love for your friends. 

Treat yourself well.

Cherish others.
